Homophobia: adj; irrational fear of, aversion to, or discrimination against homosexuality or homosexuals.
I don't plan on getting political on this blog. (Or religious, for that matter.) This will be a one-time thing. I just wanted to be clear. And get this off my chest.
The Church's current homophobic actions in California are making me livid. And the smoke and mirrors rhetoric of 'love the sinner hate the sin' is making me sick to my stomach.
For anyone reading this who might just possibly be interested, check out Mormon's for Marriage to get a better understanding of members of the Church who cannot support their Church's historically hypocritical actions in this matter. Especially, I would suggest that you watch the series of videos on LDS homosexuality. They put a human face on the individuals who are being marginalized and hurt by the Church they belong to.
Okay, that's all.
I will now bury this in lots of benign posts with non-threatening anecdotes and pictures of our happy family; a family that is not threatened ONE BIT by the fact that these two men love each other and want inheritance privileges, visitation rights, and the tax benefits that are geared to encourage committed family relationships.
